Carthage High School

CHS provides traditional 9th through 12th grade education as well as career pathway programs for students within the Carthage Independent School District. The school offers 21 Career and Technical Education (CTE) endorsements, including:

Carthage High School also offers extracurriculars in fine arts, community service, and athletics. Through participation in the University Interscholastic League, created by the University of Texas at Austin, students can compete in educational, debate, and athletic competitions throughout Texas.

Carthage Junior High School

Carthage Junior High provides quality education to students in grades seven and eight in preparation for high school. The school offers athletic and extracurricular programs to keep students engaged outside of the classroom. 

Baker Koonce Intermediate

Baker Koonce Intermediate includes students in grades four through six. It is the primary intermediate school for students within Carthage. 

Libby Elementary

Libby Elementary provides students in second and third grades with education based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) programs.

Carthage primary provides kindergarten through first grade education to students.  

PACE Academy

PACE Academy offers alternative education programs for elementary and secondary students in Carthage Independent School District. They implement the “Why Try?” program, focused on helping youth overcome challenges in truancy, behavior, and academics. They offer five alternative education programs for students. 

Panola Schools:

Panola Early College High School

Panola Early College High School enrolls students in grades nine through twelve and allows them to earn a high school diploma and up to 60 college credit hours and/or an associate’s degree at no cost to the student or family. 

Panola Charter High School

Panola Charter High School allows students to complete high school credits at an accelerated pace. Courses are individually paced and serve as a great option for students hoping to recover lost credits or skills.
